CUSTOM MADE FLASHINGS

Steelformers can provide a range of flashings from all of our four branches, custom made to your requirements. Flashings can be manufactured from 0.55mm BMT Zincalume®, Galvsteel® and Colorsteel Maxx® or from 0.9mm BMT mill finish aluminium. We can also fold flashings out of 1200 x 2400mm arctic white aluminium we hold in stock. Copper is available upon request (contact your nearest Steelformers branch to check availability).

The girth of the flashing will be limited in one direction to 1200mm maximum (coil width). Where one dimension is 1200mm or less, the maximum length is 8m. As the flashings are created by mechanical folding there are certain limitations relating to the angle of the folds and the distance between the two folds that needs to be considered.

The following details are helpful and should be considered when ordering your flashings:

  • Material, thickness and grade

  • Quantity and length(s) required (bare in mind the lengths you are capable of carrying if you are collecting the flashing)

  • All measurements/dimensions

  • Angles required

  • If soft edge (EZ-Edge) is required

The following range of flashings have proven to be popular and suitable for most applications. The flashing cover over the roofing or cladding should be in accordance with Table 7 of Acceptable Solution E2/AS1.

  • Manufactured in our Wanganui factory and distributed to our other three branches

ORDERING METHODS

Our preferred ordering method is in-person in one of our four branches, Flashings can be drawn and ordered via fax or email. Phone ordering is available, however Steelformers takes no responsibility for flashing orders placed over the phone.
